Pooh Corner
The charming building is Queen Anne, some 300 years old, dating from around the 1690's. Once inside, the atmosphere is like that inside Aladdin's cave with all sorts of "Pooh-phernalia" to be discovered. Known since 1978 as Pooh Corner it was a bold venture to open a shop almost wholly specialising in Winnie-the-Pooh. Nowadays, with literally thousands of souvenirs it seems the most natural thing in the world for this shop to be situated in the village where the famous stories were written by AA Milne in the 1920s.
