Our head chef James Cooper and his team pride themselves on keeping their menu and produce
local, with James being a local boy himself. Having worked with Keith Floyd as well as
Michelin starred chefs, we can guarantee a meal to be savoured. James describes his cooking as
classic French dishes prepared in a modern English way. A summer signature dish that you could
enjoy would be fresh line-caught sea bass with grilled asparagus, parmesan with lime and roasted
garlic salsa.
The food is not the only experience to gush about. The newly refurbished restaurant
retains its traditional charm with its amazing prints on the walls, its relaxing piano tinkling in
the background, and the log fire burning wood straight from the grounds. Add to this its
stunning views over the manicured lawns of the Hall and the Leven Valley into the distance, all
these things provide an evening to remember. What the Leven restaurant manages to achieve is
an atmosphere traditional, grand and formal on the surface, yet 100% relaxed and laid back at its
core. Our guests feel like they are at a dinner party at an old friend’s place. To
achieve this balance of grandeur mixed with complete ease is a Hand Picked hotel mission and here
we have succeeded totally.
The Drawing Room
For the less formal dining experience, the Drawing Room offers a more snack style lunch or
dinner menu. Surrounded by warm deep heritage coloured walls and oil paintings of the Royals,
our lounge menu will provide you with delicious, filling food whilst watching the world go
by.

Weather permitting, we also offer Al Fresco dining on the Terrace, with views of the Leven
valley. Enjoy a chilled glass of white wine or a glass of champagne to accompany your meal,
whilst sitting on comfortable cushioned chairs under the protection of sun umbrellas.

ask for one of our tailor-made picnic hampers. We aim to be as flexible as possible with their
contents and endeavour to satisfy the most specific of tastes. Whether you wish your picnic to
be accompanied by sparkling water or sparkling champagne, we aim to please.
