It has to be said that Ettington Park provides the most amazing settings when it comes to
dining. Formal or relaxed, party or picnic, Ettington Park is a magnificent and imposing
building but has the rare quality of making guests feel completely at home, whether taking your
evening meal in the magnificent Oak Room restaurant, having a private dinner in the Chapel,
lunching in the Great Drawing Room or picnicking in the park. The options for eating and drinking
are numerous and the setting, nothing short of wow.
We are more than happy to welcome children into our hotel and hope they enjoy the variety of
dining as much as their parents. If the children fancy something specific to eat, our chefs
will do as much as they can to provide it.

Our head chef Gary Lissemore has a passion for creating modern British Cuisine to
the highest of standards. Gary has fine tuned his culinary skills at establishments such as
Champneys and New Hall in Sutton Coldfield, now a member of the Hand Picked collection. Just prior
to joining Ettington Park, Gary spent 12 months as Head Chef at one of Tanzania's most luxurious
Safari Lodges. Gary is keen to use only the best of both local Warwickshire and seasonal
produce for all his dishes, and a superb range of many of these dishes can be sampled on his
Gourmet Tasting Menu. Alternatively, his excellent A La Carte or Table d'hote menus are available
each evening.
The Oak Room restaurant itself can only be described as magnificent, with its original 18
th century Rococo ceiling and wall panelling embossed with the family crests yet mixed
with a contemporary feel to add something extra. The magnificence of this amazing house is
more than present in the Oak Room.
Don’t forget the Hand Picked philosophy though, that it is not only the amazing food and
surroundings which are a given with Hand Picked hotels. Our main aim is that our guests feel
relaxed and comfortable, and have fun, whatever their surroundings. We feel that we provide
the highest quality food to enjoy in an amazing environment, yet with that home from home feel that
will leave you as relaxed as you can possibly be.
The Great Drawing Room and Bar
For a less formal lunch or dinner, the Great Drawing Room provides lunch all day, afternoon
tea between 3.30pm and 5.30pm and dinner until 10pm . As the name suggests, it is incredibly
ornate with its amazing painted and gilded ceiling, beautiful oil paintings, grand piano, and huge
floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the terrace, chapel and grounds.
How such a majestic room can have such a relaxed atmosphere is beyond belief but the team and
guests here make relaxing on the sofas and armchairs easy.
The Bar at Ettington Park leads off from the Great Drawing Room providing a relaxing place to
have a pre dinner drink or a nightcap before bed. As with the rest of the hotel, you will feel
completely relaxed and at home here.
Al Fresco Dining
Our lounge terrace provides a light menu for all day dining whilst overlooking the stunning
and unique grounds of Ettington Park. The atmosphere out here is friendly and relaxed with the
buzz of guests enjoying the amazing English countryside at its best. Whether you fancy a very
English Pimms or an Earl Grey tea to match your very English surroundings, or a glass of something
more continental, we’ll happily oblige while you sit and admire the unique views of Ettington
Park.
If you prefer to wander the grounds or the surrounding area, we can also offer you a basic or
luxury picnic hamper to take away with you to enjoy.
