Ushers Restaurant
Ushers is open for dinner only
Tues to Sat - 7pm – 9.30pm
Although we do not specify a dress code, most guests seem to enjoy dressing up for dinner at
Ushers as this befits the style and feel of the restaurant.
Book in advance to avoid disappointment.
If you want a special dinner, this is the place to come. Ushers is a truly intimate,
candlelit restaurant with only 8 tables, serving the most delicious dishes. Decorated in natural
warm colours such as chocolate browns and velvety creams, you will feel as extravagant as the
speciality whiskies and brandies housed in the built in feature drinks cabinets in the restaurant
entrance.
Our executive chef Graeme Shaw and trusty friend, head chef Glen Billins have been
pleasing our guests with mouth-watering dishes for twelve years. With a relationship so
strong, we can boast a fantastic menu of classically based food with modern twists.
Graeme prides himself on sourcing his produce from Scotland. Whether it’s our home smoked
salmon, cured on the premises, scallops from Achiltibuie in the north of Scotland or salmon from
Loch Duart, Graeme will create a dish never to be forgotten.

banquette seating, leather upholstery and super modern artworks on the walls, you’ll feel you’ve
made it… in with the in crowd. Whether you chose battered haddock with chunky chips, a
succulent grilled fillet steak or a Toulouse sausage and mash, we promise you’ll want to come
back again. We don’t forget the healthier guests with equally as enticing healthy salads and
sandwiches.
The Drawing Room and Glass Lounge
As if the Brasserie isn’t enough, for a more informal meal, you can sit in the Drawing Room
or Glass Lounge to eat from a Brasserie style lounge menu.
The Glass Lounge is linked to the Brasserie and mirrors its style with its modern, earthy
décor and comfy leather seating.
The Drawing Room is a more traditional styled area with a classic yet modern feel to it. With
its wing backed chairs and gunmetal grey and brown shades, enjoy a light bite and
relax.
The Glass Lounge
The bar at Norton House is by both day and night a buzzing place to be. On weekdays, we
buzz with business men meeting, greeting and being seen, in the evenings buzzing with a lively and
hip cocktail bar vibe. Either way you’ll want to be here – Whether you fancy a mojito or a
moccaccino, a cappuccino or a caipirhina, you’ll leave feeling energised.
Don’t forget the Hand Picked philosophy though, that it is not only the amazing food and
surroundings which are a given with Hand Picked hotels. Our main aim is that our guests feel
relaxed and comfortable, and have fun, whatever their surroundings. We feel that we provide
the highest quality food to enjoy in an amazing environment, yet with that home from home feel that
will leave you as relaxed as you can possibly be.
