You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining and drinking at Nutfield
Priory.
For a special night, or a traditional Sunday lunch, enjoy a unique meal in the original and
characterful Cloisters Restaurant.
The Grand Hall, Library and Bar offer less formal dining in a more relaxed setting with lighter food options if required. Open for lunch and dinner as well as for our speciality afternoon teas, take your time and watch the world go by.
Al Fresco Dining is available either on our stunning terrace or in basic or luxury picnic
hamper form. If you prefer, either enjoy all your meals in the privacy of your bedroom, or for
a small gathering make use of one of our stunning private dining rooms for your exclusive
use.
We are more than happy to welcome children into our hotels and hope they enjoy the variety of
dining as much as their parents.

Our Head Chef and his team love to create mouth-watering dishes for our guests, dishes such
as the signature dish of passion fruit and pistachio glazed Gressingham duck breast with
Eastern spices, cocotte potatoes and tempura leeks. We describe our food as French-English
cuisine with a hint of Asian spice, and we guarantee you will be more than satisfied with the
menu, served by our incredibly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff.
Not only is the food unforgettable, but so is the restaurant itself. With stunning views
across three counties, the unique, cathedral style of the Cloisters with its impressive arched
ceiling and elaborate stone carvings, ensure your stay at Nutfield includes a meal to
remember.
Don’t forget the Hand Picked philosophy though, that it is not only the amazing food and
surroundings which are a given with Hand Picked hotels. Our main aim is that our guests feel
relaxed and comfortable, and have fun, whatever their surroundings.
The Library and Grand Hall
For the less formal dining experience, the lounges at Nutfield offer lunch and dinner menus
equally as enticing as the Cloisters restaurant within a more relaxed environment as well as our
unmissable speciality afternoon teas either with or without champagne – Some may say extravagant,
but we say it’s well worth treating yourself. Whether in the Library surrounded by books and
comfy chairs or in the Grand Hall with its high ceilings and log fire, feel free to enjoy fantastic
food whilst watching the world go by.
Weather permitting, we also offer Al Fresco dining. Enjoy a glass of wine with a light
chicken Caesar salad or sea bass with sun-dried tomato and rocket on our terrace taking in the
breathtaking views of Surrey and Sussex from our unique position of Nutfield Ridge. If you
prefer to wander the grounds or the surrounding area, we can also offer you a basic or luxury
picnic hamper to take away.
The Bar
Our attentive bar team will welcome you to the hotel bar, with its relaxed atmosphere and views of the stunning surroundings of Nutfield Priory, with a smile. Whether coming in for a Baileys or a beer, a glass of champagne or a coffee, the bar is a great place to have a chat with friends or equally to relax with a drink and a good book.
