The Garden Suite
The Garden Suite is ideal for parties up to 60 guests and as with the Riverside Suite, this room benefits from it’s own private bar and dance floor and also boasts its own secluded garden. It is ideal for an evening reception of up to 100 guests and really comes into its own in the summer with space for a BBQ or Hog roast.

The Chellaston Room
Ideal for smaller more intimate parties, the Chellaston Room makes a delightful venue for your
Wedding Breakfast accommodating up to 40 guests.
Rather than impose on you a minimum number of guests and a minimum spend per head, thereby
limiting your choices we instead have set a minimum spend for the day.
These minimum spends vary depending on the day of the week and time of year.
We recognise that all weddings are special and are unique for every couple. As such we are not
keen to impose on you any formula or ‘standard’ way of doing things. Weddings are sold as a
package made up of the drinks you choose, the menu you desire and then an evening event. No
room hire is charged for the dining suite provided that the agreed minimum spend is attained.
Please note the minimum spend excludes accommodation and bar expenditure.

Historically we have often performed two weddings on a single day. As of January 2007, this policy has changed and we only accommodate one per day. Please note however at the time of going to print we do have some dates that have been booked prior to this decision.
When you have decided upon your dining arrangements and have chosen your menus and drinks, the
following extras will be provided with our compliments:

Exclusive Use
Exclusive use Weddings are the ideal way to ensure total freedom of the hotel and its
luxurious surroundings. The package includes the wedding breakfast menu and drinks package
for up to 80 guests and evening reception buffet for up to 80 guests, plus all 42 bedrooms at the
hotel.

Civil Weddings
The Priest House on the River holds a Civil Wedding License, which allows us to hold Wedding
Ceremonies on the premises. We offer a package for Bride & Groom’s wishing to hold their
Marriage Ceremony here at The Priest House on the River, which includes the following:
- Ceremony Room Hire
- 1 Pedestal with Floral Arrangement & 1 Long & Low Floral Arrangement (Your choice of colours)
- Private Interview room prior to the Ceremony
- CD player for your choice of music before, during and after the Ceremony

Charges are based on you holding your Wedding Breakfast at the Hotel. The hire of the CD
player excludes CD’s.
Booking Procedures
- Two registration officers from the Loughborough Registry Office have, by law, to be at an
approved Wedding Ceremony. As soon as you have made a provisional booking for your Wedding Ceremony
at The Priest House on the River, you should contact the number below to agree the date and time of
your Wedding.

- Provisional Reservations may be made up to 18 months in advance with the Superintendent
Registrar. These can be confirmed 2 years prior to the marriage date itself.
- All details of charges relating to the solemnisation of marriages will be discussed with the Superintendent Registrar. The Priest House on the River will accept no responsibility for these charges.
- There are certain legal requirements, which need to be discussed and complied with. These will
all take place between yourselves and the Superintendent Registrar. The Priest House on the River
will take no responsibility for the organisation of the service.
- Only a Civil, non-religious ceremony can be permitted by the Superintendent Registrar. Any
readings, music or words, which form part of the ceremony, must be secular. It is possible to
elaborate parts of the Wedding Ceremony; however, these must be agreed in advance with the
Superintendent Registrar.
- No food or drink may be consumed in the ceremony room one hour prior to the ceremony, or at any
time during the ceremony.
