Restaurant & Bar
Whether you’re looking for something special or something more relaxed, dining at Rhinefield House provides both. If it’s the something special you’re after, the Armada restaurant has to be one of the most spectacular places to have an evening meal. If you require something more simple and relaxing, the Lounge is the place for you.

You can also eat Al Fresco on our stunning terrace or in simple or luxury picnic hamper form. For the more private among you, either enjoy all your meals in the privacy of your bedroom, or make use of one of our stunning private dining rooms for your exclusive use.

We are more than happy to welcome children into our hotel and hope they enjoy the variety of dining as much as their parents. We provide high chairs in all our eating areas and each restaurant has a children’s menu for the little ones to enjoy.

The Armada Restaurant

The Armada restaurant is a sight to behold. Attention to detail, as in the rest of the house, is obvious with the magnificent carving of the Armada set in the fireplace. Having taken nine years to complete and carved from one solid block of oak some four feet thick, whilst you are sitting comfortably in your deep leather bound seat, feasting on the delights chef Kevin Hartley has prepared, take a minute to appreciate the amazing amount of work that has gone into creating such an ornate piece of work. Or maybe you prefer to concentrate on your soft goats cheese salad with smoked pancetta and Fritham Heather honey, followed by perhaps a Deep Water Monkfish with Chorizo, Cavallo Nero and Mussel Cannelloni, and Crispy Onion. If you are an admirer of fine workmanship, you will be more than happy with both your surroundings and your meal.

Don’t forget the Hand Picked philosophy though, that it is not only the amazing food and surroundings which are a given with Hand Picked hotels. Our main aim is that our guests feel relaxed and comfortable, and have fun, whatever their surroundings. We feel that we achieve the highest quality food to enjoy in an amazing environment, yet with that home from home feel that will leave you as relaxed as you can possibly be.

The Lounge

If you’re looking for a more relaxed meal, the Lounge at Rhinefield provides exactly that. With a menu based predominantly on local and seasonal produce, you can enjoy lighter meals in the lounge, a room relaxing yet characterful, enjoying a view of the gardens and ponds.

The Lounge Bar

The lounge bar has a more modern contemporary feel with a cocktail bar mentality. Whether you fancy a Caiphirina, a Coke, a Caffreys or a Cappuccino you will be able to sit and relax whilst being served at your table. What more could you ask for?

Al Fresco Dining

Our Terrace provides a great opportunity for Al Fresco dining. Sit and watch the world go by, listening to the hypnotic sound of the koi carp swimming around the pond whilst you have your lunch or afternoon tea and even a glass of champagne if you fancy a treat.

If you prefer to wander the grounds or the surrounding area, we can also offer you a basic or luxury picnic hamper to take away with you to enjoy.
