Our hotel has an excellent reputation for imaginative cuisine and fine wines. Whether you
choose the Oak Room, with its status as one of the best restaurants in the region, or the
Brasserie, with its contemporary menu and informal atmosphere, we guarantee you will enjoy the
experience to the full.
Al Fresco Dining is also available either on our stunning terrace or in basic or luxury picnic
hamper form. For the more private among you, either enjoy all your meals in the privacy of
your own bedroom, or make use of one of our stunning private dining rooms for your exclusive
use.
We are more than happy to welcome children into our hotel and hope they enjoy the variety of
dining as much as their parents. We provide highchairs in all our eating areas and each
restaurant is happy to provide food that your child will enjoy. It’s not just the nearby
attractions like Chessington that will keep your kids happy; the food here will be equally as
fulfilling.
The Oak Room

The Oak Room is an elegant, wood panelled restaurant, rich in design and colour to blend in
with the style of the rest of the hotel. With its dark greens and aubergines, it is an
intimate restaurant seating a maximum of 30 guests to keep the atmosphere relaxed and
calm. With its fantastic views of the gardens, it’s not only the view that looks artistic, the
food too is presented spectacularly and you’ll enjoy not only looking at it, but eating it
too.
Why not try our melt in the mouth grilled Dover sole, filleted at your table, with caper
butter, spinach, soft cherry tomatoes, and sauté potatoes. Or, if meat is more your thing, try
our new season Welsh lamb with summer bean cassoulet, braised potatoes and sauce
vierge. Finish off with our crispy banana and toffee ravioli or a trio of chocolate desserts,
or a selection of continental cheeses for the savoury toothed amongst you. Mouth-watering and
delicious, whatever you choose.

The Brasserie provides a more informal, relaxed and buzzy atmosphere to enjoy a contemporary
meal. The design of the restaurant is modern with its bar as the centrepiece to enjoy a drink
pre or post dinner.
Whether you fancy a snack, such as a steak sandwich on French stick with horseradish mayo,
sautéed onions and chunky chips or a goat’s cheese ciabatta with grilled vegetables and rocket
salad, a pasta dish of spaghetti with clams and garlic or a full on meal such as rump of lamb on
French beans with olive mashed potato, we guarantee we have something for everyone.
Our head chef Peter Wallner is more than qualified to produce the most fantastic modern
European food for all our guests, whatever your likes and dislikes. Having worked at both the
Lanesborough and celebrity hang out Aura in London, he creates fantastic dishes to suit even the
fussiest of guests.
Don’t forget the Hand Picked philosophy though, that it is not only the amazing food and
surroundings which are a given with Hand Picked hotels. Our main aim is that our guests feel
relaxed and comfortable, and have fun, whatever their surroundings. We feel that we achieve
the highest quality food to enjoy in an amazing environment, yet with that home from home feel that
will leave you as relaxed as you can possibly be.
The Grand Hall
As if that isn’t enough, we also provide express breakfasts, light snacks and afternoon tea in
our Grand Hall, a cosy and warm room with armchairs and sofas to sink into with its high ceilings
and open fire. It’s even got a bar too. We’ve got it all covered.
The Bar
We’ve even got bars to suit your mood. If you fancy the hip cool atmosphere of the
Brasserie cocktail bar, nip along for a mojito or a bellini, or even just a glass of water. If
you fancy a more relaxing drink, maybe an Amaretto, a gin and tonic, or a cup of coffee, head along
to the Grand Hall bar. Whatever your mood, we’ve got the bar to fit.
Al Fresco Dining
Our Brasserie Terrace provides the perfect setting for a bit of Al Fresco dining. Choose
from our Brasserie menu and sit and watch the world go by, enjoying the fantastic gardens of
Woodlands Park.
If you prefer to wander the grounds or the surrounding area, we can also offer you a basic or luxury picnic hamper to take away with you to enjoy.
